About Fresh Funk:

Fresh Funk is Tuggeranong Arts Centre’s flagship program and Canberra’s original hip-hop dance and choreographic development program. Founded over two decades ago, it has paved the way for young dancers to learn, explore and create hip-hop and contemporary dance.

Unique projects such as the Young Choreographers Initiative have also offered young people the opportunity to explore self-expression through dance, build social cohesion, and develop their artistic practice. Many of Fresh Funk’s dancers are now working professionally in dance worldwide, and many more have evolved into confident, creative individuals because of their participation in the program.

Between its fun-filled classes, large-scale shows, competitive crews, overseas tours, additional development opportunities and guest choreographers, Fresh Funk is an unstoppable force that continues to grow and thrive, with new faces combining a legacy of long-term committed role models. Fresh Funk has an incredible team, vibe, and energy – it is a very special place to dance.

With over 300 participants, there are classes available for all ages, skill levels and body types. Fresh Funk Littlies Program caters for young kids 18 months to three years. The performance program is broken down into juniors (9–14-years), seniors (14–18-years), and adults (18 years and over). Performance open classes offer new routines and choreographic challenges. Performance master classes are for tutors and the most experienced dancers, to challenge and extend their dance skills (invitation only).

Fresh Funk prices are stable, competitive, and affordable.
